Mock Advertisement
The advertisement would have a full body shot of the artist same concept of standing against a wall
The fonts would be same as the album only things that would be different would be other things would be included e.g. star rating and reviews from target audience & perhaps other audiences.

Mock Digipak
This is a mock up of what I imagine my final didgipak would look like. Theres a midshot of the artist standing behind a graffitied wall. I want the wall to be graffitied specifically so that there is a link between the music video and the digipak.
The font would be some sort of urban font used for young artists & the album title would be a different font most probably yellow to symbolise the idea of lights and sparklers.
The inside would have the same intentions e.g. graffiti background and on the disc would be the art its face.

PLANNING - Mock up of Advertisement
Heres a mock up of my advertisement poster. I've chosen to use the same colour scheme as the digipak cover to fit the theme but also the brick wall background. This poster would be in a magazine like 'Billboard' for example as it features similar artists within the genre. I'd say it would be on half a page as she is a newcomer to the music industry not having much publicity. However being in Billboard and being advertised is still something quite major for a new artist.

PLANNING - Mock up Advertisement
For the advertisement i have decided to keep it simple. The background colour of the poster will be black and the image of the artist will be in the middle. The fonts for the artist name and album name will be the same as the digipaks, the colour also will stay bright yellow . I put the artists website at the bottom of the poster. The HMV and iTunes symbol are at the top left corner. The record label 'def jam recordings' which i will change to island records is on the top right corner. As for the release date i put 'OUT NOW' in a bold simple font at the bottom of the poster, this will be white. When it comes to the real poster i may change this to an actual date.
Analysis of previous digipaks
Good Quality Images
Text Sizes may be too big in the line of the digipak
Good colour theme
Tears look unrealistic
Good Simple colour scheme
CD template too small
Font sizes may be too big
Realistic effect of light in the album inside

RESEARCH - Practice on Photoshop
Practicing on Photoshop with Micky (the technician) giving basic tips and skills to using photoshop! This is my practice and we got given a few dodgy images, I thought this was a decent image to use and this is what my final product was. Excluding the barcode and little information as I didn't want to spend too much time on it as after all, it is just practice! :)

RESEARCH - Practice Digipak task
I was given a selection of badly take photos and had to pick one and create a digipack from scratch. This task taught the importance of having a good photograph and also how to get an idea/theme and keep it consistant for a professional look.

RESEARCH - Ideas for Advertisement!
Again we've come together as a geoup and discussed what we could put into our advertisement and use in our individual posters.
Ideas as a group:
- Same theme colour as Digipak
- Same imaged used on Digipak
My individual ideas:
- Same fonts
- Imagery
- Simplistic layout
RESEARCH - Digipack Ideas!
So as a group we all put our input and came up with some elements all of our digipacks could share, not entirely the same though ofcourse.
Ideas as a group:
- Colour Scheme choices of; blue, black, silver, burgandy, white.
- Name album "After Light"
My own ideas for my own digipack:
- simple font (less is more)
- stop motion of sparklers spell out artist name
- dark theme colour
- 3 panel digipack

ANCILLARY - Ancillary production Pitch / Importance of Digipak
Like it? Create your own at GoAnimate for Schools. In class we had a discussion on reasons why people buy digipak and why they are important
The reasons are
. People may still want a physical copy they maybe fans of the artist
. More effort has gone into producing the digipak therefore it would be a nice thing to own
. Digipak appeals to a more older audience which still enjoy music although dislike the new system of downloading online
RESEARCH - Copy of Last years Digigpack
This is the outcome of last years digi pack.
My weaknesses were as a class we didnt have much time to create it, which led it to being so rough. Another would be we used green screen which did NOT work well as you can see the tint of
green! I didn't put much thought into colour scheme.
My strengths was thinking of a new name for the unknown artists but also choosing a nice font to match i thought the urban look matched the style of genre and inside of packaging.
