What have you learned from your audience feedback?
To start off lets talk about my target audience, my target audience is of 16-24 as the artist has a very upbeat urban style, feel and look. We went with this target audience as we thought why not go with a target audience which we all know and have very profound interests in already. All of us in the group also listen to artists from the same or similar genres.
We also thought that our music video could possibly connect to a cultural audience as there are skaters as well as dancers within our music video which nowadays is on the increase and becoming more popular.
Pitch feedback
So we received feedback for our pitch from Mary, Trevor and the class. We saw that they really enjoyed our pitch especially the animatic and our researching on artist style. We received feedback of other locations in which we could film one was next to one of our locations which had already Shoredtich and another next to South Bank.
Trevor gave us feedback on lighting and not to go out without lighting so we took any sort of lighting we could since technically you can make something lighter dark but not the other way round.
Rough cut feedback
Well it was beyond obvious i think of what the feedback would be for the rough cut :D Well it was not movement within our music video and alot of being static. Other criticism is the lack of effects within our rough cut and being unfinished. Positivity would be the fact that i tried to salvage what i can from the footage that we had and tried to make some kind of movement with the editing.
From this feedback i knew i had to find someway of interpreting movement without going to film again as that was out of the question.
Updated rough cut feedback
Now the criticism have turned into compliments hehe, i knew that with the use of something else there would be some kind of movement within the music video, so we added in dancers as well as skateboards. Ontop of this i used editing to make it look as if KIM was actually moving within the music video.

Final music video/cinema viewing
And now it's all compliments, it just goes to show how well you listen to your target audience's feedback as they are the ones you are selling it off to. I took on all the feedback which i received from the audience and tried to interpret it whether it be effects filters etc.
Ancillary
and finished ancillary feedback
The
ancillary feedback was obvious that i hadn't done much to the advertisement
which quite nicely was pointed out, other than that there were a few minor
fixes that i had to make on the ancillary products which were things like
adding copyright information and fixing up the numbers on the spine etc.
For the
final ancillary feedback i could tell that there was a use of getting back the
feedback of my audience as when i asked my target audience this time there was
nothing major on which the audience could fault as i had followed the
conventions and it appealed to them.
There is use of getting feedback due to a number of reasons. We get feedback to understand what the audience wants and what they want to see in the product. We shouldn't be getting feedback just for the sake of it but to understand what the needs are of the target audience.
