Imagine Dragons - It's Time
The use of costume was very dull and gloomy as they were all dark colours, this adds to the point of the costume being cold and depressing in a sense. Also, there was only one costume which was continuous throughout the video. The costume linked with the location as the colours were used on the location too reinforcing the point of depressing in a sense and the location of the video was a studio - internal. The costume links with the genre since it has a very slow indie beat. The main prop within the music video was the use of a jewel which glowed beautifully within the gloomy atmosphere.
Mia - Paper Planes
The
use of costume was very casual with a total of 8 costume changes, which
looked very urban and colourful. The costume links with the location as
it was set in a very urban area - the city around America in alley
ways, burger vans and a few other locations which are a mixture of
external and internal locations. The costume links back to the genre too
as it has a very hip-hop feel, this was backed up with the use of
colourful and urban clothing. The main prop that was used was the dollar
itself which was continuously referred to in the song as the paper
plane.
Jessie J - Domino
The
use of costume was very casual with a total of 8 costume changes, which
looked very funky, vibrant and colourful. The costume links with the location as
it was set in a studio - internal location with beautiful lights etc. The costume links back to the genre too
as it has a very pop feel, this was backed up with the use of a rainbow within her clothing as well as a shiny mask. The main prop that was used was a petrol can and a watch, which she coincidentally was flashing off and there was a close up of for a few seconds.
